my story

I‘m born in the south east corner of austria. There I spend the first 20 years of my life surrounded by nature, going to school, playing basketball and having fun with friends. Threw my older siblings and some good friends, books and some influential people I opened my mind to a broader horizon. I joined my sister at a yoga teacher-training in Hawaii (one of the best experiences in my life). Spend a lot of good quality time with my friends and made beautiful experiences. After my 9 month service as a paramedic I decided to go to hamburg to study marketing and digital media. This was my biggest decision so far. I knew nobody. And it was freaking hard to find an apartment, a job and friends. But I learned to stand on my own feet and managed everything. I got into a rellationship  with a beautiful young woman and we are still happy together.

Over all this time I felt drawn to self development and to ancient eastern teachings. I always tried to look inwards and to listen to my body and after doing Yoga-based workouts I felt how it benefits my body. From that point I knew that I want to deepen that feeling. Yoga goes so much deeper than other workouts and I love to go to the root of things. I really enjoy passing on those teachings and to improve others life’s.

What drives me?

Global Unity

The original word yoga means union. Feeling united with yourself, things around you, the world, the universe and the creative force. We are all one and if everybody becomes aware of this, we can solve and eliminate wars, racism, environmantal destruction, abuse of people or animals and a lot more. So let’s come together!

Find purpose & meaning

Everybody needs a reason to be here, a meaning that gives sense to our lives. In his book „mans search for meaning“ Viktor Frankl talks about how important it is to have a reason to live. The sanskrit word dharma can be described as your calling. Or another way to describe it is beeing in resonance with yourself and the universe. You can experience this feeling in meditation or a flow-state. Descover who you are and why you are here.

Perspective & gratitude

We all lack perspective! How often do we find ourselves in a state of complaining or dissatisfaction? Gaining perspective and feeling gratitude for everything we have is the #1 recipee for happiness. I know sometimes it can be hard to find something positive and I am not in a position to juge. However there are plenty of stories out there showing how to find gratitude in the darkest places. Let’s discover them!

Frequently asked questions

FAQ

01. Why everybody should do yoga?

Yoga is much more than just fitness training. It makes us want to be in the moment. And this life in the moment is what changes so much. Most of our problems arise because we live either in the past or in the future and overlook the present, the only time when we can make a difference.

02. What is my background?

Grown up in the environment of professional athletes, sport has become part of my life from an early age. At the age of 10 I discovered basketball, which then became the center of my athletic career for more than 8 years. I am also very happy that I was able to understand the mental aspect of sport at an early age. I wrote my departmental thesis on the topic: „The influence of mental training on performance improvement in basketball“. This allowed me to discover my passion for the mental aspect at an early stage. After my Matura in sports and biology I wanted more… Through my sister I finally came to Yoga. Influenced by Dylan Werner’s online courses, I decided to make yoga part of my life and become a yoga trainer.

03. How did I come to yoga?

My sister showed me an online handstand course. This was my first contact with Yoga. Followed by other online courses, which are very similar to strength training, I became more and more convinced that yoga is the right thing for me. At a certain point, the decision was clear and I took the training to become a yoga teacher. For anyone who thinks I didn’t know what I was getting into: I knew that yoga might not have much to do with strength training, but I was open to new things and willing to get to know other sides of the sport.

04. How was my teacher training?

The training represents one of the best times of my life. I had great trainers who couldn’t be more different. For me they reflect the versatility of yoga.
Among them was a very good philosophy teacher (guru) with whom I could talk about everything.
A strict but nice anatomy teacher, who reawakened my love for detail.
The trio was completed by my third teacher, who always motivated me to go to my limits.

05. What are my plans for the future?

One of my principles is „Never stop learning“, therefore and out of my interest in mental training I am doing NLP training to be able to change people from the inside out and not only their body. I will also study marketing, because otherwise I can be the best trainer in the world and still not reach anybody.
There are many plans and projects that I am looking forward to implementing.
So the future offers a lot. I hope I can look back on it with pride.

06. How much do I train?

I see a „self-practice“ as extremely important.
I do an average of 30-90min of sports per day.
It is also very important for me to have tested every sequence I teach sufficiently on myself.

07. Yoga for business?

Yoga offers great opportunities in the business sector.
If you are more interested, just contact us.
I am looking forward to successful cooperation.

08. Why is Yoga beneficial for other sports?

I quote my sister (Julia Dujmovits): „Competitive sport is not a health sport“.
Yoga offers the possibility to balance the stresses and strains that occur in competitive sports. Yoga is about bringing the body into balance. It allows you to recognize weak points or overstrain at an early stage and to react accordingly.

Yoga also serves as injury prevention.

Take basketball as an example:

Through years of training and little stretching, the muscles around my hips have become very tight. As a result, the hip joint can only fulfill its task to a limited extent.

The tasks of the hip include „leg flexion, extension, aduction, abduction, external rotation and internal rotation“. However, the problem is not in the hip but in the weaker joints, which then have to take over some of these tasks.
The knee is a modified hinge joint, i.e. rotation can only take place in the unloaded and flexed state. However, if the knee is subjected to these rotational forces under load due to the narrowed hip, this is very damaging and can lead to serious injuries. By the way, the next link in the chain is the ankle joint in the distal direction and the lower back in the proximal direction.

Yoga is used here to open the hips and thus distribute the resulting loads correctly. The body works best when each joint does the job it was built for.

This is just one example of how Yoga can support other sports.

09. Yoga for children?

The earlier you start, the better. With children I focus on learning to move. I offer them the opportunity to learn movements they have never done before and thereby improve their body awareness.

10. Who are my role models?

A very interesting and also important question. I see role models as a very decisive factor.
At the moment my biggest role model is Dylan Werner.
When it comes to the topic of „mindfullness“, I call Prince ea.

11. Do I have a nutrition plan?

I have always been very interested in the topic of nutrition and I must admit that I know a little bit about it. I like to cook but a precise plan was always too tedious for me. Basic principle: With healthy ingredients only a healthy meal can be created.
